Tony has been hairdressing since 1966 and opened the original Tony Mitchell Hair salon with his wife, Jan, in the prestigious Brisbane Arcade in the Brisbane CBD in 1976. After winning a mass of hairdressing awards, Tony went on to open additional salons at Indooroopilly and Paddington. He has since streamlined his business and TMH now provides superior hairdressing services at an architecturally award-winning salon at Lambert Road, Indooroopilly. Tony has been a member of the elite worldwide Intercoiffure hairdressing group since 1983. In October 2004, he was honored when presented with the 'Knighthood of the Ordre de la Chevalerie' from Intercoiffure Mondial Paris at a glittering gala awards event at the Stamford Plaza Hotel (Brisbane) in recognition of his contribution to the hairdressing industry in Australia.
